It’s hotter than a firecracker outside so time to find some water. Here’s where to go swimming in Austin, Texas.
Natural Swimming Pools
Austin boasts two natural swimming pools. So if you don’t like traditional swimming pool water, find a couple of options.
Barton Springs Pool

In the heart of downtown Austin, it’s at the top of the Austin musts especially for swimming hole enthusiasts. A developed swimming pool for 100 years, it’s water source is a natural spring. Find the original bath house, lap lanes and a diving board.
It features a natural zero-entry side. The natural limestone rock bottom allows for a walk-in entry, nice for little kids and adults who are cold water shy. It’s about 68F year-round.
